In Between

Suffice it to say, I’m in an “in-between” season. Honestly, it’s been a real deep dive.
This month’s blog almost didn’t happen. (It was originally one sentence that read, “Life is hard and unbelievable at times!”) And while that sentiment is still true (and valid), it fell a little short—literally and figuratively—of what we aim to offer our readers.
Lately, I’ve been noticing the duality of things more than ever. So much feels uncertain, yet other things feel good and deeply affirming all at the same time. It’s strange how those truths can coexist. It makes answering, “How are you?” challenging.
Picture this:
If you're local, you experienced this just last weekend. One day, it’s a gorgeous 75 degrees and sunny—the kind of day that practically begs you to roll down your windows and feel like all is right in the world. And the next? A full-on snowstorm. Thirty degrees, with wet, heavy snow weighing down the freshly bloomed trees. I remember exhaling with a long sigh…and thinking “classic” (with a hard eye roll).
A lot of people come to us feeling that way—bogged down, overwhelmed, stuck. The condition of our space absolutely affects how we feel, how we show up—for our work, our relationships, and ourselves. That’s why we love what we do—helping people create spaces that feel like a reset or a fresh start. When your space is in order, you have more clarity and can make room for what’s next. For what’s better. For what’s possible.
The truth is, everything is always changing. Time. Seasons. Age. Life. Us.
And here’s the good news: you’re not alone in the in-between. We all experience it—each of us navigating different versions of transition at different times. Some in-betweens feel hopeful; others feel like a total mess. They are part of the process, part of our journey.
The in-between isn’t always comfortable, but it’s where lessons lie and growth happens. In the midst, we can trust the process and set ourselves up for success. One of the most powerful ways to do that is by accepting what we can and cannot control and choosing a perspective that supports and propels us forward, starting with the space we live in. We cannot control the weather or the storms of life, but we can choose how we respond. When your surroundings are intentional, curated with the things you love and that reflect who you are, they become a place of comfort, clarity, and strength. A clear, organized space is more than just a place to relax and rest—it’s a place to refocus and move forward with purpose, hope, and resilience.
Here’s something that reminded me of that recently. Remember that snowstorm I mentioned? The very next day, the sun came out. I was walking my dog, and as the snow began to melt, I paused to look at a tree along the path. I expected to find its blossoms ruined. But to my surprise, they were still there—still intact. And as I looked closer, I saw most of them looked just as beautiful as before the storm. What a lesson. What a metaphor. We bend. We weather it. So often, we’re still standing—still blooming—even after the storm.
